On-Call

You are the urology resident on call, working under senior supervision. When the emergency department refers a case, this is your structured first response: a focused history, a directed examination, the initial investigations, the immediate action you can safely begin, and the point at which you must call your senior. First-response guidance, not definitive management.

Each case assumes you are a supervised resident performing the initial assessment and starting safe immediate measures while keeping your senior informed. 'Call senior / refer when' lists the triggers at which you must escalate rather than proceed alone.
